CBD’s Neuroprotective Properties offer Hope for Traumatic Brain Injuries

By |2019-02-25T21:22:30-07:00September 26th, 2018|CBD and Pain, CBD and PTSD, CBD Oil|0 Comments

American football is one of the most-watched sports in the world, with teams’ combined revenues eclipsing $8 billon in 2017. The sport is, by its design, a physically intense game, with collisions necessary for completing and ending plays. The game has over its near-century long tenure evolved to become more intense, with the average player becoming larger and faster—and delivering a more powerful blow to his opponent. Even with thick pads and helmets to absorb the brunt of the hit, players are still subjected to intense (and sometimes dangerous) collisions, causing permanent damage. But it wasn’t until recently that players and the public began to learn just how severe the damage could be; it's becoming more common that athletes who have played at both the college and professional levels experience CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy. CTE is a neurodegenerative disease found in those who have suffered multiple head injuries—and CBD is providing evidence that it can benefit players who are at risk for or have CTE. Traumatic Brain Injuries are One of [...]

Researchers to Test if CBD Calms Essential Tremor

By |2019-02-25T21:30:06-07:00September 21st, 2018|CBD and ECS, CBD NEWS, CBD Oil|3 Comments

It’s thought that over 7 million people in the United States live with Essential Tremor (ET), roughly 2.2% of the population. And currently, there is limited research on treatments for ET; there is no one medication to treat the condtion. Beta blockers, anti-seizure medications, Botox injections, tranquilizers, therapy, and—in severe cases—deep brain stimulation, are used to treat ET, though each has its limitations. But researchers at UC San Diego’s Center for Medical Cannabis Research may soon learn more about cannabinoids’ effects on ET. The team announced that the DEA had given it the green light to import CBD and THC capsules from a Canadian-based company to conduct its study. The researchers will use high-dose CBD and low-dose THC (20:1, respectively) to determine if the cannabinoids relieve patients’ ET symptoms. CBD Oil Has Been Shown to Improve Numerous Conditions. Ours May Help with Yours. How Essential Tremor Affects the Body Essential tremor is a nervous system disorder that affects the body by generating involuntary shaking. The shaking can manifest in any part of the [...]

CBD Found to Deliver Sustained Anti-Depressant Effects

By |2019-02-25T21:34:26-07:00September 5th, 2018|CBD and Depression, CBD and ECS, CBD NEWS, CBD Oil|0 Comments

Cannabidiol has developed a reputation for being a cure-all, a miracle drug of sorts. While CBD has been shown to improve dozens of conditions, the limited research into how CBD affects these conditions leaves our understanding of its interaction with the body a bit blurred. This is especially true for CBD and depression. But researchers in São Paulo State and their Danish colleagues have discovered a breakthrough in CBD’s impact on depression—a breakthrough that drastically decreases the time it takes for those with depression to experience relief from their symptoms. Evidence is Mounting that CBD Improves Symptoms of Depression. Our Hemp CBD Oil May Do the Same. CBD Shows Quick, Sustained Effects on Depression Many people suffering from depression are prescribed different types of anti-depressants, most of which can take weeks to improve patients’ symptoms. But just 60% those on anti-depressants experience relief, leading many to discover they have treatment-resistant depression, a form of depression that does not respond to multiple treatments and is present in nearly two-thirds of those with major depressive [...]

Study Finds CBD May Help Offset Psychosis Symptoms

By |2019-02-25T23:25:15-07:00September 2nd, 2018|CBD and Mental Health, CBD and Schizophrenia, CBD NEWS|0 Comments

While not a disorder itself, psychosis is characterized by a set of symptoms of mental illnesses. These symptoms result in strange or bizarre thinking, uncommon perceptions of sight and sound, actions, and emotions. Psychosis’ severity is improved (or worsened) by environmental factors, including drug use and stress. Though the National Institute of Mental Health notes that, while there is no concrete number of people who experience their first episode of psychosis each year, incidence data from other countries suggest that roughly 100,000 Americans experience their first onset of psychosis annually. While there is currently no one cure for psychosis, researchers have recently found that CBD can improve psychosis symptoms by impacting three areas of the brain. CBD Has Been Shown to Improve a Number of Mental Health Conditions. Our Hemp CBD Oil may do the Same. How CBD is Thought to Improve Symptoms of Psychosis Researchers at King’s College London have found that 600mg of an oral dose of CBD can improve the onset of psychosis. The small study included 33 participants who [...]

By |2019-02-25T23:23:24-07:00August 30th, 2018|Uncategorized|0 Comments

In June of this year, the FDA approved the first ever CBD-based medication designed to treat two of the rarest and most severe forms of epilepsy in patients aged two or older: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome. The approval was so novel that, when GW Pharmaceuticals—the company that developed and conducted numerous pre-clinical and clinical trials with the medication—presented the FDA with results from those trials, it was Fast-Tracked for approval. Recently, the company presented findings from a wealth of pre-clinical and clinical trials at the 13th European Congress of Epileptology in Vienna, providing further evidence of the drug’s effectiveness. CBD Has Been Shown to Treat and Lessen the Severity of Epileptic Seizures. Our Hemp CBD Oil May Do the Same Additional Evidence to Support CBD-Based Drug’s Effectiveness GW Pharmaceuticals provided the FDA with substantial information when it was seeking approval. CBD and Medication: Can It Help with Depression and Anxiety?

By |2019-02-25T23:11:05-07:00August 22nd, 2018|CBD and Depression, CBD Oil|0 Comments

There’s often a stigma attached to talking about depression—even though it’s a disorder just like a physical condition that others can see. But when it comes to mental health (and depression in particular), the conversation is one that’s often shorter or, at the very least, uncomfortable for many. It’s somewhat rare for people to talk about their depression—and for others to inquire. Many people living with major depressive disorder (MDD)—which is also known as clinical depression—turn to medication to combat and lessen the severity of their depression symptoms. And while these medications offer hope and relief from MDD for many, they do not work for everyone. This leaves many looking for other methods to treat their depression—including using CBD as a supplement. But how effective are the two together? Hemp CBD Oil May Help Alleviate Some Symptoms of Depression—Including our CBD Oil Can CBD Help with Clinical Depression and Anxiety? When someone experiences symptoms of depression, they first often reach out to their doctor prior to seeking the help of a mental health [...]

Can CBD Help Nausea?

By |2019-04-04T20:29:06-06:00August 15th, 2018|CBD and Inflammation, CBD Oil|0 Comments

Nausea can be brought about in several ways: eating a meal that disagrees with your stomach, anxiety that can cause physical effects in the stomach, pregnancy, motion sickness, chemotherapy, and nausea that may be linked to other conditions. For some, chronic nausea is a condition that not only causes painful effects in the upper stomach, but forces them out of their daily routines, events, and going out in public for fear vomiting. Many people who experience nausea reach for Pepto-Bismol, or other stomach-coating over-the-counter medications—but these only provide temporary relief, and can come with their own set of undesirable side effects. Recently, there’s been evidence that another supplement can improve nausea: CBD. Hemp CBD Oil May Help with Several Conditions that Cause Nausea. A team of researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham has just revealed its findings from a study on how CBD oil impacts symptoms of those with treatment-resistant epilepsy. The team found that, among study participants who were treated with CBD oil, seizure frequency and other symptoms improved significantly. Moreover, CBD oil was shown to reduce both severity and frequency of seizures. The study’s findings add to a wealth of growing knowledge on how CBD oil impacts epilepsy—as well as when the world’s first CBD-based drug for treating epileptic seizures is set to enter the market in the not-so-distant future. Evidence is Mounting that CBD Oil Helps Improve Epilepsy. Our Hemp CBD Oil May do the Same. CBD Improved Conditions when No Other Treatment Would Patients who participated in the study were shown to have not benefited from previous therapies that sought to improve frequency and severity of epileptic seizures—known as intractable epilepsy. First begun in 2015 after the passage of what is referred to as Carly’s Law, researchers at the University [...]

Study Finds 80% of Children with Autism Saw Improvement with CBD

By |2019-02-25T23:27:48-07:00August 9th, 2018|CBD and Anxiety, CBD and Stress, CBD NEWS, CBD Oil|0 Comments

An Israeli team of researchers has found that high-CBD cannabis was effective in treating 80% of children with autism involved in the study. The study’s publication is forthcoming, and will be published in the journal Neurology. The children who were included in the study suffered from autism that had not shown improvement with other medications. The children were given the 20-to-1 CBD-THC medication (levels at which are comparable for many CBD oils and CBD products in the United States) for seven months, where roughly 4-in-5 saw marked improvement of their condition. CBD Medications and Products like our Hemp CBD Oil Has Been Shown to Help Treat a Number of Conditions. Autism Could be the Next. Promising Research for CBD Treating Autism Little is known about how cannabidiol may impact autism—which is why the study’s findings are so promising. The study relied on the participants of the children's parents as well. When the treatment period was completed, parents filled out surveys to report on any changes to their child’s condition. Researchers wanted to know [...]

CBD Could Soon be Sold as a Supplement in Mexico

By |2019-02-25T23:33:50-07:00August 5th, 2018|CBD and Pain, CBD NEWS, CBD Oil|0 Comments

Rather than being regulated like and made available as a prescription drug, Mexico is weighing whether or not CBD will be sold alongside other supplements—like vitamins, minerals, essential oils, and other common items customers may expect to find in their local homeopathic or health store.  The move comes shortly after rumblings of cannabis legalization were first mentioned at a press conference in January of this this year. And, on June 19, 2017 Mexico’s President, Enrique Peña Nieto, signed into law a bill that allows for the cultivation, production, and consumption of medical cannabis and cannabis products that are under 1% THC, the compound in cannabis that causes a “high.” The law spells potentially big news for those who need access to CBD oil and other cannabidiol products, as most CBD products are under the 1% THC cutoff. No Buzz, No High. Our Hemp CBD Oil Offers Natural Relaxation without the Intoxication Legalizing CBD and Medical Cannabis In the United States, CBD oil and other CBD products have for years existed in legal grey [...]
