An Israeli team of researchers has found that high-CBD cannabis was effective in treating 80% of children with autism involved in the study. The study’s publication is forthcoming, and will be published in the journal Neurology. The children who were included in the study suffered from autism that had not shown improvement with other medications. The children were given the 20-to-1 CBD-THC medication (levels at which are comparable for many CBD oils and CBD products in the United States) for seven months, where roughly 4-in-5 saw marked improvement of their condition. CBD Medications and Products like our Hemp CBD Oil Has Been Shown to Help Treat a Number of Conditions. Autism Could be the Next. Promising Research for CBD Treating Autism Little is known about how cannabidiol may impact autism—which is why the study’s findings are so promising. One of the biggest hurdles to CBD’s continued rise in approval is education—or lack thereof. With the DEA’s gray language, cannabis’ classification as a Schedule I drug, and industrial hemp just now earning a broader spotlight on the national stage, it can be difficult for consumers (in 50 different states) to know exactly when a CBD product is legal. That was the case with a Kansas businessman who, like many other Kansans, believed CBD to be legal when cops raided his shop in 2017. But now, his shelves are again fully stocked with CBD products. Nothing Unclear Here: Our Hemp CBD Oil is Available to All CBD Oil’s Legal Classification Changed Before the end of April, CBD was included in the state’s definition of cannabis, meaning that, even if a CBD product contained below 0.3% THC, it was still considered illegal. Now, thanks to a vote by the Kansas Legislature, CBD is no longer under the state’s definition of cannabis—and no longer a restricted substance. But this decision didn’t just come out of [...]

Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, is a condition that has affected 70 percent of Americans at one or more points in their life, equating to over 220 millions people. The event can be brought about by a number of events, ranging from sexual violence to time spent at war, car crashes to domestic violence. While some sources of PTSD may bring about more prolonged episodes or lengths of PTSD, the numbers are clear: PTSD is one of the most ravenous mental health conditions plaguing America today. And while mental health professionals and services provide resources to affected individuals, it is clear that more needs to be done to address these staggering numbers. And there is hope. Numerous studies on the effects of CBD on PTSD are offering promising results, showcasing that CBD may be a beneficial treatment for those suffering from PTSD. Specifically, one study has highlighted that the manipulation of endogenous cannabinoids within the endocannabinoid system and two of its components, the anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol, may offer insight into how CBD affects [...]

CBD and Anxiety: Relaxation, Not Intoxication

Why CBD (Not THC) For Anxiety? Let’s briefly talk about CBD hemp oil’s marketing woes. You’ve likely heard or seen stories of CBD being used to treat epilepsy in children or treating a number of painful conditions. Even still, you may have questions surrounding that age old question: does CBD hemp oil get you “high”? Bluntly, the answer is a resounding no. It is impossible for hemp-derived CBD to get someone high; it is not a psychoactive compound like its cousin, THC. This means that CBD contains nothing that can intoxicate someone, regardless or age, weight, sex, or medical condition. But concern is understandable; if you’re looking to find a safe, natural way to combat the cumbersome condition of anxiety, you’re right to be concerned about what you ingest — and THC may be the absolute last thing you need.   Looking For a Safe, Healthy (and Legal) Way to Calm Your Anxiety?
